I’m fairly new to MODx and Maxigallery, but so far it has everything I need, except for one thing (at least I haven’t found it yet): is there any way to have a gallery so that the thumbs or the larger images have a link to a shopping cart such as paypal/google checkout/or other shopping cart?
I know that it’s possible to put links into lightbox, but I’m trying to design a page for someone who isn’t very tech savvy, and was hoping there is any easier way for them to provide links in their gallery for purchasing the artwork that will be displayed in their gallery.
Any tips or pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
You can do a custom galleryPictureTpl and include the shopping cart button there, so it will be automatically on the pictures when they are uploaded.. If you use slimbox / lightbox, it’s possible to have the button in those too by adding the button html inside the picture title="" attribute, but the page won’t validate then.
