Image Mask transparency support

I tried creating a png with transparency, but it didn’t work -- result was all black image.

Is there any way to get this to work? I’d like to use transparency and add a white frame around the thumbnails -- I thought black around the edges, a white frame, and transparent in the middle (the hole for the image) -- but it didn’t work.

what is the proper way to create an image mask? some of the demos have blue bits -- but they come out like a grey watermark.

is the imagemask just converted down to a greyscale overlay?

Have you looked at the example image masks in assets/snippets/maxigallery/imagemask/ ?

This mask for example does this kind of masking. So transparency is not needed, white in the image mask is "transparent" area that shows the image.

Yes, doze, I’ve tried that kind of basic black/white masking, and it works.

But I was hoping I could use ’true’ alpha channel, to allow the mask to include a colored border around the image.

E.g., some of the demo masks have a blue ’mac’ graphic -- which comes out grey, not blue.

Only solid gray scale masks are supported, sorry.
