[Solved] Display full galeries instead of childgaleries on the galery home page

I was wondering if there was any way to set up MaxiGallery so that the main gallery page does not display childgalleries but the galeries as displayed on subpage i.e :

Main Galery page
|_ Galery 1
|_ Galery 2
|_ Galery 3

I want the main galery page to display all 3 galeries, is that doable ?

Ok well, re-reading the doc, it would seem I self solved this one :

&view_gallery : Show a childgallery from a document (page) other than the gallery parent document. Use the ID of the document that contains the childgallery call of the childgallery you wish to use.

Yes, you could list the gallery documents with Ditto or Wayfinder and then use &view_gallery=`[+id+]` parameter in the maxigallery call in Ditto’s row template for example.

You should also use &manage_target parameter in the calls to make the picture management in a separate document. Otherwise the picture management doesn’t work. If each galleries has the same image modifying parameters (eg. same picture sizes, watermarks etc), you can create just one document to manage all the galleries.

Yes I have seen that and I have some problems making it all work... I might just try the "one document approach"...

I used &manage_target in the call on the main page, and I wondered if I also had to add &manage_gallery ?



Also, I think since the galleries are managed from another page, the &max_thumb_size, &max_pic_size, &max_big_size, &keep_bigimg are not necessary (are they just used upon generating the thumbs and images from the original or also for rendering ?

Use the same parameters for both calls (gallery and picture management), but in the gallery calls you use &manage_target and in the picture management call use &is_target. Eg.

Gallery calls in Ditto’s template:

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`[+id+]` &manage_target=`833` &lang=`fr` &display=`normal` &pics_per_row=`2` &max_thumb_size=`200` &max_pic_size=`500` &max_big_size=`0` &keep_bigimg=`1` &titles_in_overview=`1` &pics_per_page=`4`!]

And in picture management document (ID 833):

[!MaxiGallery? &is_target=`1` &lang=`fr` &display=`normal` &pics_per_row=`2` &max_thumb_size=`200` &max_pic_size=`500` &max_big_size=`0` &keep_bigimg=`1` &titles_in_overview=`1` &pics_per_page=`4`!]

I have used Ditto to call all the Gallery in a parent page in this way:

and I put this on the tpllistagallery

Everythings seems to work, I have only a question.

When I clic on a thumb to see an image of a single gallery of for example 5 photos, I’m able to see it and move prev next but when I arrive at the n. 5 I can go further and I see the first of the next gallery.

Is there a way to stop at the end of every single gallery?

You can modify the galleryPictureTpl and change rel="lightbox[maxigallery]" to rel="lightbox[-[+maxigallery.picture.gal_id+]-]". This is "fixed" in SVN code to do so by default in the next version..
