Hi,
Is there a way that I can add the first line (or so) of the image description to the page that displays the thumbnail?
I want to display them 1 per row, Title of the picture and then underneath that a short summary.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

You can get the description from [+maxigallery.picture.descr+]
Create a custom galleryPictureTpl and add that placeholder there. Then do a PHx custom modifier that returns only certain amount of characters from the description and use [+maxigallery.picture.descr:yourmofidiername+] in the galleryPictureTpl.
