Display 1 thumbnail (from series) which links to Lightbox gallery

Hi,

I’m trying to come up with a neat way to create a portfolio page for a product designer. I want to have a page listing a number of case study projects with a short description and 1 thumbnail for each. When a user clicks on the thumbnail this will open a Lightbox gallery (ideally with slideshow) to display a series of images associated to that project.

Is this possible to achieve with MaxiGallery and if so can anyone suggest the method? I’m also concerned that whatever the solution, it should be easy to use for the non-technical person adding to and editing to this page/section.

Create separate documents with each project and add MaxiGallery call to each document. Then upload images by going to those pages.

Add &view_gallery=`[+id+]` parameter to the calls in Ditto’s template to make it get pictures from the document that it’s currently rendering.

I’ve looked into the above suggestion and don’t seem to be getting very far. What I want to do now has changed slightly:

I want 3 images as links on the same page which link straight into 3 separate slimbox galleries. The 3 image links do not feature in these galleries, they are merely used as a sort of menu.

Can anyone help me with this?

Go through that but in the step 2, make sure that the chunk uses your custom image.
