Are you using custom templtates? How recently did you install MG? What version?
MG Normally gets the URL from the base URL in your config.php file.
Is this a Windows server?

Yes it’s a custom template, latest MG and MODx versions, linux server, I’ll check config.php again.

edit: checked it, base path and url are being automatically generated.
edit2: tried to override the auto detection and even commented out the auto detection code to no avail.

Sounds like you are missing your <base href="[(site_url)]"></base> tag in the <head>.
Thank you all, that missing base tag was the problem.
( I was also missing the html tag haha, sacrilege =X )
