Multiple Galleries in on Folder

I have client who wants to have a Gallery Page which displays images of the child galleries (Years). Now the tricky part. The child galleries are supposed to be again parent Galleries (Folders) by year, containing Child galleries (Events) inside them.
Is such a scenario possible and if yes how is this done best?

What is the problem? Just create the documents normally in a tree and in top level documents, use childgallery display mode to display the childgalleries from the current document. With &childgalleries_level_limit you can define how many levels you want to display..

seems that I stll have a problem.

The structure is as follows
Maingallery as a folder calling all the following document
- child 1 as a document
- child 2 as a document
- child 3 as a document
- child 4 as a document
- child 5 as a folder(Parent2) calling the following childs
--- child 1 as a document
--- child 2 as a document
--- child 3 as a document

Now when I call in then main Gallery the childs with &childgalleries_level_limit=`2` it shows me all the galleries also the ones in parent 2 but it does not display parent two. Is there a way to call parent two like a child into main gallery with its childs?

You should use &childgalleries_level_limit=`1` in the main gallery page if you only want the first level.. but I’m not sure why it wouldn’t show child 5.. does the child 5 have some own pictures or is it just displaying child galleries?

in the maingallery I used use &childgalleries_level_limit=`1`. child 5 is a folder calling childgalleries without own images. could I add a image or two to be called into the maingallery, still having it call all the childs?

You must add pictures straight to the child 5 to make them show in main gallery.. main gallery won’t show automatically pictures from child 5 that are from it’s child galleries..
