Is it possible display more then 1 image for each gallery when display childgalleries?
No. You have to use Ditto to list child gallery documents, and in Ditto’s template, use [!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`[+id+]` &manageButtonTpl=`@CODE:` &limit=`5`!] for example to show 5 picture from the gallery. Do also a custom galleryPictureTpl if you want that the pictures link to the childgallery document instead of straight to the pictures. Eg. make the link from the thumbnail be <a href="[~[+maxigallery.picture.gal_id+]~]"...
