Should it be possible to construct a slide show seen here: http://www.dhtmlgoodies.com/scripts/image_slideshow/image_slideshow.html using MaxiGallery/Modx?

Smooth Gallery (a JS Gallery that is included with MaxiGallery) is very similar to this. You might be able to modify the CSS and the settings to make it look more like this.

This is not quite possible in the current incarnation of SmoothGallery that is icluded in MaxiGallery (the separate picture carousel). It is possible in SmoothGallery 2.0 though and that is already in the SVN copy. But the SVN version has few bugs relating other things and it’s not suitable for use currently. If you want to hurry and want to do some coding, you can take the SVN copy and merge the SmoothGallery related parts to the current MaxiGallery version and you should be ready to go.

But if you don’t need the separate picture carousel, then the current SmoothGallery script works fine for you.

But I don’t suggest to use the SVN version, because it doesn’t work currently.. Or it will work in windows environment, but for linux environment, you need to modify all the lines that does file/folder permissions and write hard coded values there. I don’t have time to support the SVN code, so if you are going to try it, you are on your own with it

well time is a bit of an issue here at the moment, xmass etc.
Will try it later, currently I have used the java script mentioned in the link in my first post.
