Can't use scriptaculous calls with Maxigallery

Ok, building some templates where I use maxigallery quite extensively for image management/galleries etc.

I’ve downloaded the latest version of scriptaculous and put it in my assets/js/ folder, and I’m including it in the header of my template (with prototype, of course).

Now, when I load any galleries, none of the scriptaculous effects work. I assume what is at issue is that Maxigallery is embedding a bunch of javascript in the document (which I can see from the source) that is conflicting with the scripatculous effects I’m trying to use- which, by the way, is just the toggle effect.

If I’m going to use Maxigallery with the slimbox, what exactly do I need to include in the header of the template so I can use the parameter "&disable_js_libs" so my scriptaculous effects can work? Is any of this possible??

Help, anybody out there who has tried this! I imagine it does happen from time to time.

Quick update- I did copy/paste over the mootools.js file from the slimbox js folder to my assets/js folder, and I’ve included it in the header of the template. Slimbox is still broken- just pops to a new page with the image.

This is frustrating!

Just wondering- is there any plan in updating maxigallery to use the newest version of smoothgallery? I saw on the SG site that it’s at version 2.0.

Scriptaculous and Mootools do not play nice together.

If you have things on your page that use Scriptaculous, you need to use the "lightboxv2" embed type, which is same as slimbox. If you already have scriptaculous and prototype in your site template, you can use the &disable_js_libs parameter make it not include the libs again.
