Problems with MaxiGallery on local site

When I try to set up MaxiGallery on site installed localy (on my comp) i get the following error for gallery page:

What is the problem?

Whitch charset to use for MODx template? I use windows-1250 as they support croatian specific letters, but maybe that is a problem (when I use QuickEdit some letters get messed up)?

I think it’s pretty standard now to use UTF-8.

I changed template’s charset to utf-8, but same error appears.
What could it be?

What character set do you have as your default site character set (from the Manager’s Configuration settings)? A lot of snippet use that.

Would it in any way be possible to run MaxiGallery with windows-1250 charset?

iso-8859-1 makes strange things to croatian letters in html, and I don’t like that very much (it does it also in the document tree in manager).

Quick Edit also totally messes croatian letters in whole document. I wonder if there is a solution for this?

windows-1250 is not available for Web publishing. Unless you are the only one visiting your web site, you will want to choose between the two most widely supported charsets, which means:

UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1

in the case of ISO-8859-1 you’ll want to use html entities to encode croatian letters. But your best bet is to use UTF-8 everywhere.
