is there a way to make pics from the biggest pic dynamically

i’ve got stuck actually... all i want is to display 640x480 pics but there is heck of a lot pictures that are larger, so max_pic_size doesn’t work and if i make a call like
[!MaxiGallery? &max_pic_size=`640` &gal_query_ids=`102` &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_in_a_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`110` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`!]

and the actual pics are in 1024x768 i’ll got 1024x768
is there a way to make it the way i want?

&max_pic_size effects only the pictures that are uploaded after it’s added to the snippet call and just with that snippet call..

If you query pictures from another document (&gal_query_ids=`102`), the &max_pic_size doesn’t change the picture sizes, they are in the size that they were uploaded in the 102 document.

At least two possibilities..

First without dynamic resizing:
MaxiGallery can hold 3 different sizes of each picture. So you can use the &keep_bigimg=`1` and &max_big_size=`640` parameters to define the 3rd picture size and when querying pictures from the gallery to another document , do a custom template that shows the "big" pictures (640px max size) eg.
<img src="[(base_url)][+maxigallery.path_to_gal+]big_[+maxigallery.picture.filename+]"...

Dynamic resizing:
Use the phx:phpThumb custom modifier to resize the picture to the size you want, dynamically. phpThumb caches the pictures it generates, so only the first load of the pictures will take some time (when it resizes). Do a custom template and use:
<img src="[(base_url)][+maxigallery.path_to_gal+][+maxigallery.picture.filename:phpthumb=`w=640&h=640`+]"...
