Pictures uploaded successfully - empty dir

I tried uplod pic from Manager gallery and got msg: "Pictures uploaded successfully" but under dir /assets/galleries/10/ or /assets/galleries/ there is no pic uploded. dirs galleries and 10 are set to 777

So tried different approach via FTP upload:
[!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries` &use_ftp_commands=`1` &ftp_pass=`pass` &ftp_port=`21` &ftp_server=`xy.com` &ftp_user=`user` &ftp_base_dir=`/` !]
...and after pressing button "upload picture" and got totaly empty (blank) page.

upload manager url is: www.xy.com/10.html

server settings:
safe mode off
file_uploads on
MODx 0.9.6
PHP 5
MySQL 5
MaxiGallery 0.5.2

so can someone help me what I’am doing wrong?

If fix issue, it was something with: php "php_admin_flag file_uploads ON"
and for FTP upload I correct path:

$mg->path_to_gal=$path_to_galleries.$mg->pageinfo[’id’]."/";
$mg->path_to_mkdir=$path_to_galleries.$mg->pageinfo[’id’];

mkdir($mg->path_to_mkdir, 0777

I have another problem, when I try upload 4 (or more..) pics on the same time trough upload manager I got blank page, sum size is 2.79M.
when I looked on FTP dir, upload manager successfully upload fist pic and created thumb tn_ and second pic (1,57MB) without created thumb.

4 pics size:
1. 441kb
2. 1.607kb
3. 118kb
4. 694kb

also I tried upload just one pic of size 1.607kb and also show blank page. I think something to do with pic size. if pic size is more that 120k I got blank page, smaller pics size <120kb uploadedd successfully and successfully created thumb.

php ini setings
upload_max_filesize = 25
post_max_size = 25

See the MaxiGallery wiki article in MODx wiki for the parameters to check.. I bet it’s hitting the maximum execution time of a script.

hmm strange error

I think something is wrong with GD library, I’ll update GD and report later. some pics upload successfully some don’t.

new info:
if width is over 2000px I got error Allowed memory size of 20971520 bytes exhausted...if is lower or the same pic is uploded.

There’s nothing wrong with it.. it says that it exceeds the allowed memory size (20MB). That can happen with large images because the thumbnail.class.php creates few copies from the picture into memory while doing the resizing etc.

Doze you are right I increase from 20M to 200M and now works fine. It’s unbelievable that 260k pic size need more memory than 20M.

Yes, true.. The logic behind image processing is quite bad.. But it shouldn’t be that bad I think.. I have certainly uploaded bigger pictures with all kinds of filter settings and had lesser memory limit value. In any case, I’m not going to do anything to it until I take the phpThumb into use.
