So I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to do this.
I want to have one image in my blog (which is shaped to fit the page), and that same image not show up in the gallery. Also how do I make this easy for the news poster for the blog to link upto the gallery?
Just started messing around with MaxiGallery, but i’ve looked through the first several pages on the forum here.
Use &offset=`1` in the gallery view, then it will skip the first image and in the blog document, use picture query features if the pictures are binded to some other document, or &limit=`1` parameter to only show the first picture. See MaxiGallery wiki page in MODx wiki for more information about available parameters.
You can use the phpThumb PHx modifier to crop the MaxiGallery image to some certain size, if you cannot upload right size pictures straight away.

Cool I got that page figured out. Now I got another question. I want to use the same larger image for the Gallery view page. Each time I make the call to view all the child galleries, the right picture shows up, but its a thumbnail. I want to use the full size image for that. What template do I modify to get that to change? and what should it look like?

I have 2 gallaries, both with more then one picture. so it’s not getting that number from how many galleries there are or how many pictures are being shown or how many pictures are in the gallery.
Actually now that i think of it, I use the first picture in my gallery as my ’preview’ picture and it isn’t shown in my actual gallery. So this number isn’t going to help me, i’d need it -1 to get the actual amount. can i edit this?
ok so i put the call into my galleryoutertpl instead. It shows me the number of pictures being shown which is the number I am looking for.
