[SOLVED] MaxiGallery not initiating

I have a container in the menu set up as a galleries page with three galleries called from other pages. Here’s how I have it set-up:

Color Samples page with this call:

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`39`!]

<div class="colors">
<h2>Girls Room Decor Colors</h2>
[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`40`!]

<h2>General Decor Colors</h2>
[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`41`!]
<br clear="all" />
</div>

The galleries being called have this code:

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`5` &max_thumb_size=`88`!]

I’m also not sure that the javascript is being included. In the source it shows that mootools is there:

When one of the samples is clicked it goes to an unstyled page with the large image - no javascript effect with darkening background - nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think the head should look like that :

<script type="text/javascript" src="assets/snippets/maxigallery/slimbox/js/slimbox.js"></script>

OR

your call like that

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`smoothgallery` &pics_per_row=`5` &max_thumb_size=`88`!]

CTRL+SHIFT+U - Clear Cache
CTRL+SHIFT+H - Hiding Heft Panel
CTRL+SHIFT+N - Fast Create Resource
CTRL+ALT+P - Preview Recource (in edit resorce window)
CTRL+ALT+S - Save

OK, I made that change with the Javascript and it’s still not working. This is very strange for me, I’ve done this several times on other websites and everything is virtually identical. Any ideas??

EDIT:
I did notice that in the anchor tag it wasn’t inserting this:

 rel="lightbox[maxigallery]"

How do I get it to insert this into the anchor tag? I can’t figure it out.

Make sure you are not logged into the manager when you try having the slimbox open itself.

I remember i had a similar problem and it turned out it was just due to a problem with Quickedit using the same js library as my chosen embedtype causing it to break. Not sure if your issue is related but I figured it can’t hurt to tell you just in case.

No, I’m using two different browser just because of that reason, but thanks for the comment. I think it may have to do with the rel="lightbox[maxigallery]" not showing up in the anchor tag.

OK. I know that has to be the problem, but for some reason I’m having trouble figuring out why that piece of code isn’t showing up in the anchor tag. Here’s how it looks currently:

That darn rel="lightbox[maxigallery]" isn’t showing up in the anchor tag and for the life of me I can’t see what I did different on this site that I’ve done on others. Please help. My sanity can’t take much more of this.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been on a work trip all week..

Anyways.. Do you mean that you’d like the pictures to open from "Color Samples page" in a slimbox? then you need to add the &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`5` parameters to the calls that have &view_gallery in them. MaxiGallery doesn’t automatically read the parameter values from the target gallery when view_gallery is used, you need to place them in the call manually..

So instead of:

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`40`!]

Use:

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`40` &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`5`!]

Or did I understand your question wrong?

Thank you so much! That was it! I didn’t realize that the Maxigallery call had to have those other parameters in it. It works great now!
