Multiple uploads destroys gallery look

like I already said, when you upload a file that has many pictures, it may take MaxiGallery script so much time to process it that it exceeds the maximum execution time of a script that is set in php.ini. Or it can exceed the max memory limit, or some other setting. Then when the process halts unexpected, it may result in some garbage pictures or garbage in MaxiGallery db table. MaxiGallery should be able to go through those issues, but maybe there’s something that I haven’t checked yet.

In any case, you can solve your issues by doing the following:

Create a template that only has:

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>[*content*]</body>
</html>

Create a document using that template and add only MaxiGallery call to the content field.. Disable any plugins you might have running if possible. Then try if that thing happens on that document. If it doesn’t happen, your error is caused by some other script / plugin running on that site. If it does happen, you need to raise the values in your php.ini file that are listed in MaxiGallery wiki article in MODx wiki or upload less pictures at a time.

My all other galleries work excellent, but only this one doesn’t sad

(.zip file is 16.8 MB large).
*If it’s an script/plugin issue, then probably the other galleries would be having the same problem, would’n it?

After dealing up with custom php.ini configuration, I deleted all pictures in the gal, and uploaded them again. Hopefully it will work, it’s displaying the same scenario sad

P.S.
In php.ini file I raised this values:
s/.*post_max_size.*/post_max_size = 100M/;
s/.*upload_max_filesize.*/upload_max_filesize = 100M/;
s/.*memory_limit.*/memory_limit= 300M/;

Did you do the empty template as I said? Could I see the result?

Also, if it only happens on that one document, there is some garbage in MaxiGallery DB table that the script can’t get over with.. so see modx_maxigallery db table and if it has some rows for pictures that do not exist or something..

Hmm.. very very strange indeed.. Could you perhaps upload the *.zip file somewhere so I could try it with my test environments.. Also, could you try without the &lang parameters in the snippet call (long shot, i know)..

I’ve been getting this very thing too. Had it for a while but thought it was more to do with the number of images in the directory. I uploaded mine directly via my network. It was a while ago now but I think I ran the Re-Synch button and it was ok at one point.

I did notice that using 10 upload boxes stuck the program so I’ve tended to only use 9 upload boxes when I do.

Sorry I’m no help but just wanted to add mine to the list.
