Fatal error: Call to undefined function ImageCreateFromJPEG() on local windows

Hi,

I’ve this message when i want to upload images with maxigallery.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ImageCreateFromJPEG() in C:\Program Files\wamp\www\assets\snippets\maxigallery\watermark\Thumbnail.class.php on line 183

I read a few other posts about the same problem but the last was for linux (that i not understood) and and i’m developing on xp with wamp.

Can you help me !

ps : i don’t know if gd library is already installed and how i do install it.

Go in MODx Manager and in the "Reports" tab, click on "System Info". On the page that shows up there should be an option to "View phpinfo()". On that page, do a search for "GD" and see if it is enabled or available.

It looks like you don’t have it since you got this error. Follow the instructions to install it. Searching for "GD install windows" gave up this link:
http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/gd.htm

I looked phpinfo() and i got "with-gd=shared". I don’t know if that means, it is enabled.

In case i must install gd library, which path or folder to choose on windows xp ?

If you are setting up some local test/dev environment, I would really suggest to try the xammp package. It works right out of the box.
