Update v0.4.1 to v0.5.2

How can I update my gallery v0.4.1 to v0.5.2? can I just replace the old files?

Short answer: Yes, replace the files and the snippet code in modx manager.

Long asnwer: You can also install the new version side by side with the old version while you do the transition by uploading it to another folder..

eg. put the 0.5.2 version to assets/snippets/maxigallery_052/, then in the 0.5.2 snippet code, change:

define(MAXIGALLERY_PATH, "assets/snippets/maxigallery/");

to

define(MAXIGALLERY_PATH, "assets/snippets/maxigallery_052/");

and save the snippet with "MaxiGallery_052" as the name for example. Now you can test the new version by using [!MaxiGallery_052? ....!] and all your current calls still use the older version. If you want to test how your current calls work with the new version, rename the old maxigallery snippet to "MaxiGallery_041" for example and the newer to "MaxiGallery", then all your current calls use the newer version.
