Problem with &pictureTpl - not using the template?

Im so glad everytime i log on to ModXCms and sees that there is a new version/script/snippet or what so ever.. So thanks for that!

Anyway,
Im trying to make comments function work with MaxiGallery, ive set everything up correctly (as i can tell, comments do work on any other page) but when i try to include the &pictureTpl in the maxigallery call it doesnt work! Maxigallery doesn´t use the template, chunk. I cant see what im doing wrong... What am i missing?

Chunk created with name: mgPictureTplComment and containing the pictureTpl.html codes.

pictureTpl is the template that is used when viewing a single picture in normal display mode. You are using embedded display mode, so pictureTpl is never used. You only use galleryOuterTpl and galleryPictureTpl (for each picture).

I just followed the guidelines on the wiki for Jot & Maxigallery. Thought they were in "standard"-mode.

So i should use "galleryOuterTpl" if i want to add comments to the whole gallery and "galleryPictureTpl" if i want comments for each picture?

Where are you going to show the comments for each picture when you are using embedded display mode?

If you want to add commenting to the whole gallery, just add jot call normally after maxigallery call..

Sorry for resuscitating this post.

I’m also using &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` and I’m trying to format the text displayed below the "zoomed in" version of the picture.

I noticed that the text located below the picture is taken from the title of the a href in galleryPictureTpl :

This always generates a fixed "title - description". Is there a way of formatting this title and description by applying some html, and adding some links perhaps?

Yes, you can do a custom galleryPictureTpl and modify it in anyway you want. If you remove the :htmlent phx modifier from the placeholders, you can use html code in picture titles and descriptions. Note that the page won’t validate though if you have html inside title attribute, but It’ll work.
