Thumbs and image on one page - mootools effect?

Hi Doze,

first of all thanks for your excellent work!

I followed the instructions in the wiki for "Picture and thumbnails on same page" and it works like a charm. You wrote:

That should be it. Now access the site and see results. Next you can do MooTools effects to resize the image on change in the showPic() function and write instructions here.

I´m not familar with mootools (or JS at all). Could you perhaps give me a quick hint how the syntax for an fade-in/fade-out of the images effect would be? I just need the basic code, I then can change the parameters myself. But I don´t know where to start and where to put in the fade function/parameters.

Sorry but I don’t know either.. haven’t done much with mootools, that’s why I wrote that in the wiki But I would think that it would be pretty easy to do.

You could take a look at how mooShow does it (though it uses moo.fx if I remember correctly) http://www.dixsix.fr/contribs/mooshow-meets-modx.php or google for some mootools example page.

Thanks for this hint, it´s a beautiful example, exactly what I´m looking for! I´ll try to get the fade effect from there. Thx!

@David: Thanks, I only need the fade-effect, no lightbox. You´ll see soon in the "you and your sites" section, then you´ll see why I need it ;-)

Slimbox opens the picture in an overlay div.. and it’s already in MaxiGallery.
