I still did not find a good solution, so back here.
I more or less created the site that it is all about.

And you can see on (if you have the time) the gallery page, sub menu 3.
I put one picture there (and maybe the user is filling up the site).
There will be 3 pics under every sub nav button (buttons :1,2,3,4,5,6) (I colored the div yellow, blue and green)
All three clickable to open a large picture. One should be able to surf from one large pic to the other using the arrows I will fill out in the small colored blocks right hand bottom. (one to go back on to go forward)
I left these colored blocks this way to give you,or whomever might be able to help, a better idea of the " structure".
