When I first started using MaxiGallery (v0.5) uploaded thumbs were in the same order as selected in the upload page (ie. 1,2,3,4 . . .) Now when I upload pics the thumbs are in reverse order (4,3,2,1,) What could have changed that would have reversed the display order of the thumbs?

Default sorting is descending by pos,date. The date is the date when the picture is uploaded or the date from the EXIF data if it’s available. If &keep_date=`0` the date will be changed to the date when the picture titles/descriptions was last modified.

Thanks Doze; Then for the pix to be ordered the ’position’ box has to be filled in, or it defaults to ’date’ is this correct?

Yes, position field takes predecessor to date in the default sorting
