Would it be possible to make an image title and description searchable? It would be cool to be able to modify a search snippet and insert radio button that could query the maxigallery table. I know something like this is possible but how could it be implemented?

Make the search snippet to search maxigallery db table.. Simple sql change. If you need more help, please post to some search snippet thread or create a new thread in the "snippet creation and modification" forum.
