Multiple galleries on a page?

Hi, did a search but most of the stuff I came across was specific to putting thumbnails for child galleries onto a single page..

Is it possible to have more than one snippet on a document page?

What I’m looking to do is have the thumbnails under sub headings on the same page. Initially I thought just putting the snippet call, and then underneath the header - adding another snippet call. But I noticed that when I uploaded the images for the fist section it repeated them verbatim in the second.

I’m not too familiar with snippets and editing code in general, so if it is a code change I’d appreciate a "for dummies" explanation if it is at all possible...

Can’t produce an example I’m afraid as I’m devving this locally at the moment.

One document can only have one gallery.. but do it like this, create the documents for each gallery in some hidden folder. Then on the document that you want to show the galleries, under each sub heading, use the &view_gallery parameter to get the gallery from one of the documents that you did in the hidden folder.. that should do it.

I can’t seem to find that parameter in any of the documentation.. could I be a pain and ask how I’d need to lay it out?

I have Maxigallery working on another site, and call three galleries into one page using the [!MaxiGallery?display=childgalleries!] which works, but that only does one thumb for each and then goes to their respective pages.

What version are you using? can’t remember when I add that parameter.. might have come in the 0.5v betas, but they are stable enough for production use too (atleast that’s what I would say.. I have just labeled them as betas, because they don’t still have all the features that I want to put to the final version for v0.5).

So if you create an unpublished folder "Galleries" for example, then you create three documents under it:

Dog Gallery (ID 33) with content: [!MaxiGallery!] (+any parameters you want)
Cat Gallery (ID 34) with content: [!MaxiGallery!] (+any parameters you want)
People Gallery (ID 35) with content: [!MaxiGallery!] (+any parameters you want)

Then in the document that you want to list the galleries, you do this:

Galleries Heading

Dog Gallery Sub Heading

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`33`!]


Cat Gallery Sub Heading

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`34`!]


People Gallery Sub Heading

[!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`35`!]

OK, I’ve read this and I thought it worked for my purposes but now I don’t think so. What I need is a "pictureview" and a "smoothgallery" on the same page. I’ve setup two docs as children (id’s 8 and 9) under a main doc, "Galleries". Each child has 2 photos. They each have the following in the content: [!MaxiGallery? &display=`pictureview`!]

In the calling document I’ve got: [!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`8`!] and [!MaxiGallery? &view_gallery=`9`!]. The initial view is fine, but when I click "next", I get:

Yeah, that wont probably work.. When you click next from the pictureview gallery, it sets the picture id to the url query string, then both galleries tries to show that picture I guess.. I have to do some debugging.. and possibly implement gallery id parameter, where you can set and individual id for the call so that every call works separately on the same page..
