Howdy -
It just occurred to me that it might be nice to have a "end page after this image" checkbox next to the Position field. That way you could forcibly end a page before the default number of photos has been reached. This would require some minor modificationto the pagination code, but nothing too terrible.
Why would anyone want to do this? Well say for example that you have a single gallery that you want to divide up into coherent sections (e.g., phases of a building’s construction). You want all of the photos to be in one gallery, but you also want to split up the pages according to their content. With this checkbox you could easily add a "page break" anywhere you like.
Another (more complicated) option would be to add "section break" elements to the gallery code. This would be similar to adding a photo but it would just have a section title and description that could be shown on the pages. I’m not sure if something like this is currently possible using child galleries, but it seems different to me.
Just some ideas I thought I’d throw out...

Cool beans. Can I make another (even easier) request while I’m on a roll? How about a "Hide" or "Unpublish" checkbox in addition to "Delete" (sometimes I just want to remove an image temporarily or preload them before I actually want to show them)...
Yep, another good idea. Dont know how much these will be used by people, but they sound good enough for me to implement.. and when the managing area is fully templateable in next version, people can just hide these controls if they dont need them. Keep em coming!

Heh... OK since you asked... I always add "jump to upload form" and "back to top" links to my MaxiGallery forms (since they get LONG).
Although what I personally would REALLY like to try next is to use a data grid module to manage galleries from the manager (I know it’s useful for non-administrators to be able to manage images from the public side, but I don’t use that feature yet).
And how about a voice-activated LCARS interface that can tell me the temperature of the dialithium crystals and start a self-destruct countdown whenever things get dull?
Yeah, and why wasn’t this feature included in the original release anyway?
