Sounds like the page is cached.

        Hi Jason,

Thank you... I have done so many tests that I couldn’t see what was wrong !
After a night, all is fine wink

After upgrade to 0.9.5 Beta I can no longer see the previous pictures after clicking on "Manage pictures" button. I can see the upload form and I can see the pictures in the gallery, but can manage existing pictures like I used to be able to.

          Any ideas?

Snippet is called [[cached]] on an uncached page as per the previous install instructions.

UPDATE: This is only an issue on 1.5.0.7, works fine on IE 6.0.2900

Hmm, sounds odd that the problem is only with FF.. can you manage the pictures using FF at all? and using IE all works correctly? eg. uploading new pics, adding/changing picture descriptions and titles.. etc.

Could you post your snippet call.. Are you using manage target in your snippet call to manage the galleries in some other document? if so, make sure the snippet aint running cached on that target document.

If you change to uncached snippet call [!...!], does it work ok with FF then too?

              [[MaxiGallery? &max_pic_size=`541` &pics_in_a_row=`3` &pics_per_page=`12` &max_thumb_size=`160` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1` &quality_pic`100`]]

              [! !] Makes no difference

Hmmm, that’s strange, now IE doing it too, must have been IE’s cache before. If I upload a new picture I can see that picture on the manage page and can edit the details for it, both in IE and FF, but all the old images are missing in the manage page so are no longer editable.

(you can see the issue in my sandbox, under Maxi Gallery; just login as below)

Oh, now I get it.. if you look at your assets/galleries folder, does the "old" pictures still exist? Maxigallery uses modx database to store picture information, including the filenames of the pictures. So it seems that the picture information is still intact on the database table, but the pictures itself has disappeared from the filesystem (eg. assets/galleries/<docid>/file.jpg)..

The pictures are still visibile in the Normal view, just not the Manage view. However I checked the folder, and the photos are there. I also checked the MySQL table modx_maxigallery and it had the old photos details in there as well.

                  e.g.

id gal_id filename title date descr pos own_id

Oh.. well if you view the source of the manage pictures page, what’s the url to those non working images and can you see why they are not working? Do you use friendly alias paths maybe and the url points to wrong directory or something?

They are not listed in the source, and there is no broken picture place holder either.

If you were to look in the manager, its like the photos dont exist, yet in the normal view they are all there huh

You can see the problem in action if you log into the gallery, maybe you can see something I can’t, just log in to http://members.emanz.ac.nz and use sandbox as username and castle as password.
