Brief Description:
The MODcast snippet generates an iTunes XML podcast feed from a folder of audio or video files.

I just tried to install MODcast (with MODx .95 RC3) and when I tried to create the snippets by cutting and pasting from the included PHP files, once I save the snippet, I am taken to a 404-error page and the snippet is not saved.

I can create & duplicate other snippets just fine.

Thanks! Finally got this to work by using the SecFilterScanPOST Off in the .htaccess mentioned on this page.

Ok. I accessed the admin page for MODcast and it gave me the option of either creating a new feed or loading an existing one.

I created a new feed and on the next page it displayed the .php filename of the new feed. After clicking the button on this page, I was presented with this error:



Any clues?

Oh man... it has been a long time since I touched this snippet.
Honestly, I don’t know why you are getting that error, but I have been meaning to get on making this into a module for MODcast Admin, and the snippet as is, only I would update it to reflect any updates in the iTunes XML standard.

I will keep you posted, but it probably won’t be until january.

Hi,

just after installation, in front end interface, i tried to create new feed but i got access permission error in php parser screen, so i tried to change the config.inc.php ’s file permission to 0777, tried again and it went forward just one step to the success screen but by pressing continue buton i got this error :


seems that somebody else got the same error as mine?

almost forgot to mention that i already delete the files named .DS_Store deliverd with the package, seems to me like thumbs.db files in windows to make cache?

There is no reason whatsoever that a running MODx system should ever need more than read access to the config.inc.php file. It only needs to be writable during MODx installation or upgrade.

The .DS_Store files are simply OS X internal files, of no importance to anyone else.
