I understand MODx solution in developing, but the documentation would be updated

I am a new MODx developer, and I am learning to using different alternatives as to verify for example, the EXTRAS solutions and installing and verifying their productivity. Now, I have some feeling of frustration.

I do not agree that the documentation that appear from:
http://modxcms.com/extras/

does not have updated information about the different third-party integrations solutions. For example, SMF integrations is not finished because the person that began the project abandoned it, but if from http://modxcms.com/extras/ could appear the present situation, people as I will understand the situation, and we could to know what is the present of the third-party integrations solutions and with what solutions we can plan one web site design.

I hope that the documentation will improve, and everybody can support the growing up MODx

Thanks for your input. I’m afraid in any open source project where all the work is done by volunteers, the documentation lags behind the product.

It is very dangerous because when can exist insufficient control about the status of the solutions for MODX project, it simply could do to lose the global positive perception that the people have.

I recommend that exist a permanent group of volunteer people that qualified the third solutions and keep and updated the grade of quality of each third solution.

Now, if only those people would show up.

A code/documentation review group can be set up. I would like to help as much as I can but I’m not an English speaking person. All I can do is review some code in my spear time and some test.
