Can pagetitle/pagetrail be set by template ?

Is there a way to set the template up with things like page title, page trail automatically ?

so when we create a new document all we need is the text and the page tite/trial is set by the tempate ?

That’s exactly what templates are for. You can use the build in [*content*] field for your main block of content and TVs for any additional blocks you need.

I managed to set the page title but the pagetrail doesn’t seem to be catching is there a certain input needed for this ?
I tried text and url but neither worked.

Try the breadcrumb snippet by the way, it’s much better.

Doh!! now i feel like an arse so why is it that we can use something like the breadcrumb snippet in the template without making it a TV while others have to be made into a TV or does it depend how its tagged

I notice some snippets are [ * snippet * ] while others are [ ! snippet ! ] and then some are just plain [ snippet ]
