Hello fellow members, we are working on a fully native ModX calendar module and would like to find 10 - 15 users to be part of a pilot program before we release to the masses. This will be a freely support module and want to ensure that it’s a clean as possible prior to general release. Pilot program expected to be 3 - 6 months and will be updated through this topic for others following.

See the screen captures of the interface and here are some core features:

    - Event management through Manager Module interface
    - Start / End date times
    - Optional past event display
    - Full calendar view with previous/next click through
    - Upcoming events list
    - Roll-over (Lightbox) view or click to full event view
    - External resource linking
    - Multiple events per day
    - Events across multiple days
    - Parameter to display event duration (days, hours, minutes)
    - Parameter to display event start and end times (uses date(format) according to PHP Date manual)
    - events sorted by date, time so the first event of the day is first
    - Reoccurring events
    - Location integration with Google Map API
    *- AJAX event detail view

    * = latest addition

Please send your request for consideration to [email protected] by April 1st and include the following please.

    1) Website Address
    2) Estimated site visitors (monthly)
    3) Estimated events total
    4) ModX version number (0.9.3 - 1.0.2 [Evolution])
    5) Language
    6) Organization Name (used in announcement)

We will announce the group here by Organization name for all and those pilot group members will be notified individually.

    ~Cheers

Looks great! I don’t have an organization or anything with many events but would be very interested in testing this and playing with it. A good event calendar is one of the most requested features on websites I’ve built and having a good MODx solution would be awesome. From the screenshots this looks like it would work great.

Super project!! Very excited to see how this turns out, and selfishly hope it won’t be as long in its debut as predicted wink

It currently supports multiple events per day and multi-day events and we are in the process of proofing the recurring events to ensure the greatest performance. We also have a flag to set the start day of the week with an additional flag to exclude weekends.

The mimi-calendar currently is supported via styles, but further enhancements might be in the initial release.

                ~cheers

Here are two new screen captures. One of the Add Event tab, we are almost ready to add in the re-occurring event properties shortly. The second of the full calendar view in a default ModX template with multi-day spanning event and multiple events on a single day.

                    Wow, this looks promising.

Like many here, I have been asked about a calendar utility. I have tried Easy Events but could not get it working properly.

It seems like there are a few calendar snippets running but none of them got to the point where the project had polish, easy install, good documentation and wide adoption. But the pics of this effort seem to indicate that this project might be the "bees knees" as it were...

I am willing to test and use this module, please advise as soon as you can!!

Easy Events is okay but has many shortcomings.

                      Thank you, Tom
