Is there a way to have a link (topmenu) when clicked it displays a list of article links ?
this linked menu would be inside a horizontal navbar along with some other links
ie * link1 link2 link3 link4
the *link1 would pull up a page that has the list of article links

You can use the DropMenu snippet anywhere you want a list of links, as many times as you like. Simply use the &startDoc=`id` argument to specify which folder to use as the root of the menu.
I see so we would just put another dropmenu snippet inside the page where we wanted the list
