I was wondering of any of the Snipet Gurus out there had seen this little software.

    SimpleViewer

    PostcardViewer

My first thought upon seeing this was I wonder if it could be easily integrated with MODx. It looks like they have a PHP script prebilt. Or instructions or something.

Yeah if I remember correctly this is a nice light flash galery... I had tested it as a DotClear plugin some time ago...

I adapted SimpleViewerAdmin (a PHP backend to SimpleViewer) to work with MODx sometime ago but strongely reccomend using an alternative gallery solution. It is great for a few albums with 5-10 photos each but anything more and it fails miserabley. Also, you have strict upload limits and whatnot. I like ZenPhoto at the moment and it is easy to include via an iframe.

ZenPhoto is nice but last time I tested, somewhat young and buggy (guess it probably has changed in the meantime !)... I like Plogger as far as I am concerned.... Photostack is not bad too...

When I posted this I was imagining more of a viewer only role. A way to get some animated movement to the process.

The photo managment featrures would have to be done with MODx possibly even down to dividing a gallery up into pages small enough not to overwhelm the SimpleViewer.

Or maybe this type of thing could work like a plug in for Gallery2. I don’t know. I’m just brainstorming.
