Hi all,
I’m working on my first full-fledged e-commerce site in MODx, and could use some recommendations. I’m using Evo 1.5, and need to use a shopping cart that will work with both MODx and the First Data Nashville Global Gateway API.
I’m going to peruse the forums for ideas, but if anyone can save me some time and recommend a compatible product, I’d appreciate it!
Thanks!
Check into Foxycart for Evolution.
The two main options currently are VisionCart (Revo) and FoxyCart (Evo/Revo). There aren’t many other options for eCommerce with MODx that stand out.
I would suggest you look into authorize.net based on this:
http://requests.foxycart.com/forums/4163-payment-gateways/suggestions/598821-first-data?ref=title It sounds like their system isn’t very easy to integrate, where authorize.net is supported practically everywhere.
Listening to Brett at MODxpo, I can’t think of a good reason to not use FoxyCart. They made it too simple to not use and handle the PCI Compliance headaches! (reminds me I need to upload more modxpo videos if vimeo will let me...)
Thanks for that authorize.net tip! I’m going to forward it to the First Data guy I’m working with and see if there’s a compromise. This is all a little new to me, so I appreciate the help. If I can, FoxyCart is still my preferred option!

I use ecwid.com. It integrates pretty easily into your own design. It does have some limitations though. uploading a batch of products can be a pain especially if they have options. Worth checking out.
Everything I know I learned on the internet. Saved me thousands in College tuition,
Thanks -- it looks cool! I’ll check on compatibility and give it a shot.
