Hello!
Just noticed that when I create a folder, no matter were, an empty document (Untitled document) is also created in the root.
Is this a default feature or a bug? If it’s not a bug, can I turn it off?
Thank you!
Boby
PS: tested it on 3 different servers with MODx 0.9.1
That would be a bug... I’ve never seen anything quite like that...... Could you provide us with server details, and a step by step of what you clicked?
OK, thanks for the quick reply.
Server 1:
OS: CentOS Linux (2.6.9)
PHP: 4.3.9
MySQL: 4.1
Server 2:
OS: CentOS Linux (2.6.9)
PHP: 5.1.2
MySQL: 5.0
Server 3:
OS: WhiteBox Linux (2.4.2)
PHP: 4.3.2
MySQL: 3.2
On all servers is running MODx 0.9.1
I create a new folder, no matter where, with "Content >> New Folder" or right click on another folder and use "Create folder here". Now I have to enter title, alias, etc and when I save ... the new folder is created but a new document in the root path is also created. It’s title is "Untitled document". Let’s say the created folder has the ID 40, then the new created document has ID 41.
However, if I create first a document and then set it as "folder" in "Page Settings", the second document won’t be created.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Boby
Could you create an account so that one of us can look at the exact specifics of what is happening?
So far, it seems like this bug is appearing on all browsers except Firefox on Windows.
Tested with Firefox 1.5.0.1 and Opera 8.5 on Linux, and with IE 6.0, Firefox 1.5.0.1 and Opera 8.5 on WinXP SP2.
