No. It is a MODx integration with PayPal Website Payments Standard. I was sorry to learn this afternoon that PayPal does not offer support for Russian banks.

Yes. There is a separate language file that covers all the text used in the backend module AND the front end user experience through the cart.

This is not by any means a standard yet like Visa or Mastercard, but revolutioncard.com has an interesting program getting off the ground. If nothing else it’s good for small companies because it eliminates interchange fees (according to them).

I guess the reason it might not be as good as Paypal or Google checkout is it may function more like Visa/Master Card. I’m not sure exactly how it works.

Then there is the Amazon Payments thing more similar to Google Checkout or Paypal. http://payments.amazon.com/

I will look into those. The problem I am seeing with PayPal right now is it’s limited global support (great for USA and Many European nations). There are several global areas that are excluded by PayPal right now. I am not sure how Google Checkout and Amazon payments compare, but I will look into them.

As a Canadian who has clients with ecommerce elements to their sites Paypal is IT for small business (although PaymentsPro is not available). Google Checkout is only for US (maybe UK) and AmazonFP is US only (at this time). 2Checkout is not bad for small business even though their fees are high but so are paypal and they handle transactions for non US companies.

I will likely be using this on a couple sites in the new year. My wife sells baby blankets on Etsy.com but would be happy to save on fees.

When I started writing this software It was my wife’s website where she wants to sell her handmade soaps. After getting a working mockup done I spent several hours (84 hours plus! so far) working it into a ultra customizable, ultra easy to use MODx add on that anyone (including my wife could use.
