I am using a form on one of my sites where the action of the form is to post to assets/forms/process.php (this is an actual file, it is listed in the Apache directory when I remove the index.html page. When I access the form and press submit, I get my sites error, page not found. I also get the error page when I try to access it by typing the full URL to process.php. I have Friendly URLs on. I have the .htaccess for URL rewrites in the root of my site, and I have the .htaccess with "ModRewrite Off" in my manager folder, and the folder assets/forms/. Is there a way to post data to this php file without turning off friendly URL’s?

    thanks

Does process.php by any chance end up redirecting to some other page?

It processes the form, uses senmail() to email the form to me, then outputs a "sucess" or "error" <fieldset>. this is all done with AJAX, and it uses some script.aculo.us effects.

I need to learn more about php, because I should probably be able to do this all in a snippet. I wonder if examining the ContactForm snippet would help since that preforms a similar function (minus the AJAX). That is such a big, intimidating snippet though!

Searching the forums, I may try to modify Adam’s [[FormProcessor]] Snippet to use my AJAX effects. Any ideas or suggetions? Perhaps there is an easier way to go about this? I must admit that I am dumbfounded by my knowledge deficit!

If you have access to your Apache logs, that would help as well since you could then see what the exact page being requested is and why it’s not being found.
