php_mbstring extension required

    I’m using modx 1.0.4 and ajaxsearch 1.8.4. but i get the error

    AjaxSearch: php_mbstring extension required

    I’ve used:

    [!AjaxSearch? ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_landing=`36` &moreResultsPage=`36` &showMoreResults=`1` &addJscript=`0` &extract=`0` &AS_showResults=`0` &mbstring=`0`!] in the chunk

    and in the landing page:

    [!AjaxSearch? &AS_showForm=`0` &ajaxSearch=`0`!]

    Please help me.
