What is a TV?

Hi Guys, You will probably laugh at this but as I’m looking through the posts on this forum to see how I’m going to implement my site I’ve noticed the term "TV" mentioned a lot. Can anyone clarify this for me (and if you say television i wil.... grrrr....lol)

TV’s are template variables, or extra areas of content you can define and attach to a template. These TV’s allow some pretty cool things to be accomplished, but before I make your head spin with lot’s of creative ideas, you can get a little more insight in our documentation:

Isn’t "What is TV?" more appropriate post title ?

TV is a Template Variable. For example, system template variables include page title, long title , content etc, where each page has different content. Custom Template Variables can be created in the Manager to do a simialr job.

Yeah... I was going to put that but then i thought i would get silly answers Thanks for the info..... going to read the manual for a bit before posting more silly questions

I hope you will get to-the-point answers for every question you will ask! so try to be descriptive in matter of picking the topic title. It will help other users to recognize your problem fast and again help to those users who search for a term "What is TV?"
