AjaxSearch creating top padding?

I have AjaxSearch set up inside a <div>, with a very specific CSS style specifying "padding-top:0". Yet Firebug shows what looks like a 30px padding-top associated with the <div>.

I can find no CSS statement in the style sheet that might produce this, so I am asking if AjaxSearch might be involved, just to rule it out.

I spent some time searching the forums and did run across your message - and thought it was solved, but turned out there are no such elements displaying for me... maybe negative margin is the way to go but thought I would ask since I hate to prop things up that way.
