I used the following to set up ajaxSearch within a 2-column content template:
1. Put the snippet call [!AjaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_landing=`8`!] in the document content area and save the document. Here x is the id of your results page. This is in the left column of the content template per se.
2. Check ’’Published’’ and ’’Searchable’’ on the ’’Page Settings’’ tab
3. Create the page #x with the snippet call [!AjaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_showForm=`0`!]. This is a separate page
The snippet call #1 is in the left column.
When the Search Results page comes up after entering a search term, search results appear in both left and right columns of the search results page (id=8).
I know I could get around this by having a different content template for the search results page which does not contain the search form, but it would REALLY be best to display the search form on the search results page on the left too, only not with the search results displayed twice in both content columns.
How do I configure the Search Results page so the results only appear in the 2nd content column??
