in my ajaxsearch results

I have been trying to remove the symbols   from my ajaxsearch results.

I have no idea which file to play around with and could be here for quite some time.

Anyone have this problem before and how did you fix it?

Getting the strange characters in the header of my site.


This fixed it for me:
Navigate to folder - assets/snippets/ajaxSearch/templates
Open all 7 files ending with .tpl.html and remove any instances of "".
In my case  was at the start of the first line in each of these files.

Hi there

I’ve read all of these posts and tried the same things but still no luck.

It does seem quite straight forward but I’m really struggling now.

Has anyone had this issue before and none of the above suggestions helped?

With your editor, save the templates/ajaxResult.tpl.html file as UTF-8 without BOM.

Thanks for the help.

I poked around in Text Wrangler and found how to do this and it worked.

For other TextWrangler users with this issue, when you save, click ’Options’ before the save button and change to ’Unicode UTF-8, no BOM’ before saving. This worked a treat for me.
