I’m guessing I’ve created some sort of conflict between Ditto’s tagging extender and the AjaxSearch "Remove Highlighting" feature.
I’ve setup a tag summary page that is used to filter news items by a particular tag as explained in this video:

If I do a search, click on a news item, then click on one of the tags from the news item page, I’m directed to this tag summary page which shows me all the news items containing that particular tag. And because I started with a search, the search term is also highlighted.
I’ve invoked the remove search highlighting feature of AjaxSearch by placing "<!--search_terms-->" in my template. This automatically displays a "Remove Highlighting" button on the page and If I click it, the search highlighting disappears but so does all the tag filtering for the summary page - all news items are displayed instead of news filtered by a particular tag.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated.
