Having problem with the framework. For some reason, when using with IE, even though I pass the JSON format, this stupid IE is still trying to parse it as HTML or it even try to download the JSON response. Stupid isn’t it? MSDN stated that their browser didn’t obey content-type header at all. They knew it, but they didn’t fix it. Stupid isn’t it? I’m still mad, how come 90% of internet users use this stupid IE? WHY????

Ha! Because Bill was present the day IBM chose the operating system for the new Personal Computer they were releasing, and they chose Bill’s MS-DOS despite the fact that they wanted to use PC-DOS because the PC-DOS representative was unreachable that day, or so I believe the story goes (I may be filling in some blank spots, but it’s close). The rest is, well, herd mentality? Who knows?!

I like the idea of PORK, but for now, I won’t recommend it again, until I can figure out the problem. So far I’ve contacted the author (Jelle), hope he can help me out with the problem.

I think it does affect opera as well. FYI, you can still use this, and use prototype or moo.ajax to handle other form submission. Use PORK to handle file submission only. (I won’t do that for now, considering the easyness in using PORK)

what I wanted to do is to upload a picture before posting the form. I found the GrayBox or something like that (a kind of ’cute’ popup) and I think i’m gonna use it to display the picture upload form. That way I won’t screw anything by posting my form twice, first through an iframe and then through AJAX. So I’ll upload the file and, if possible, update the image on my page. After that, I’ll send the info through AJAX and store only the filename in the DB (don’t want to create a php script just to retrieve and generate a picture from binary data in the DB).

thanks all for your help... I haven’t tried PROK yet as I had a few other JScript problems far more important at that moment, but I’ll give you some comments when I get it working.

            bye,

            Blaise

Actually, IBM contracted with Gates for their BASIC interpreter (which he had a friend steal mainframe time from a large university computer lab to port from the mainframe’s interpreter to what another friend, Paul Allen, had thought up). They went to Digital Research for the OS, but DR’s lawyers didn’t like the non-disclosure agreement IBM wanted even before discussing buying rights to DR Dos. So IBM asked Gates if he could possibly provide them with an OS too. He didn’t hesitate, signed whatever IBM wanted, and bought a hacked and reverse engineered version of DR DOS from a guy running an outfit called Seattle Computer Works. He then proceeded to engage in a number of illegal business activities, for which Microsoft has been convicted several times, settled out-of-court for billions of dollars to various companies he cheated, slandered, and stole from (much too late for those companies, since the cases dragged through the courts until the original companies were bankrupt and were willing to settle for what they could get). And MS continues to do business in the same manner today. Not too shabby for a spoiled-rich-kid Harvard law school dropout.

                    lol,

I might not like the way how he makes business, but I do like the fact that he knows how to be at the top of the ladder during this computer era. wink Hate him, but he does make quite a lot of donation, in fact I heard that 90% of his money won’t be inherited to his children, instead it will be donated, dunno where I heard this, but I hope it’s true, because it’s a hude sum of money grin

(WARNING: Don’t take my word on the donation part, coz I got it from unreliable source tongue)

I already heard that only with his declared fortune, he could buy the money of Algeria, thus buying a country... Stay at the top : the new MS informatic complex :

tons of servers with the highest bandwidth possible in a highly secured place : a country covered with a plexiglass bubble.

sorry... had to wake up early and i’m a little bit f*cked up by my programming night wink
