where to find this error message (string)?

I made an non-AjaxSearch searchbox and

When I enter less than three characters (or nothing) in the searchbox, I get "At least 3 characters are required for your search term" even though my specified language is Dutch.

What can be the problem and in which file is this translation?

I don’t see a dutch language file in there so I assume its using english.inc.php

I compared with other language (French) and this line should be added between the other, similar lines:

$_lang[’as_minChars’] = ’Uw zoekterm moet tenminste %d karakters bevatten’;

It was lacking from the Dutch language file (file: nederlands.inc.php)

The following labels are missing in the nederlands.inc.php file for ajaxSearch 1.8.1 version:

$_lang[’as_minChars’] = ’At least %d characters are required for your search term’;
$_lang[’oneword’] = ’One word’;
$_lang[’allwords’] = ’All words’;
$_lang[’exactphrase’] = ’Exact phrase’;
$_lang[’nowords’] = ’No words’;

The Dutch language file of the release 1.8.2 is correct. So, may be you could upgrade your ajaxSearch version.

coroico, it is okay, I just use a basic search with AjaxSearch and this version suffices, but I will keep it in mind when I need more functionality... or when I encounter more ’weirdness’. Or is it not advised to use an older version?

You could use the ajaxSearch 1.8.1 ... but lot of issues have been corrected with the ajaxSearch 1.8.2, so ...
