nonAjax mode (1.8) returns documents but not resources (weblinks)?

Hi there -
I’m running AS in non-ajax mode but weblinks don’t seem to turn up in results. I’ve checked that they’re ’searcheable’ (checkbox) and each have descriptions etc. but no joy.

In another note, I’ve tried to get the search to read jot (whereSearch) but to no avail. Is this a non-ajax problem? Modx0.9.6.2?

Any help appreciated.

Which version of AjaxSearch do you use ?

All your remarks are about version 1.8. Take care MODx 0.9.6.2 still provide AjaxSearch 1.7.1 >:(

By default the hidelink parameter don’t mask the links:
// Search in content of type reference (link) [0 | 1 ]
// 0 - search only in content of type document
// 1 - search in content of type document AND reference (default)

1/ What is your snippet call ?
2/ is your document published ?
3/ is your document(lik) private or public ?

snippet call is:
[!ajaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_landing=`22` &AS_showResults =`0` &whereSearch=`content,jot,tv` !]

(added whereSearch recently but tested with/without)
Version 1.8 - I upgraded after 0.9.6.2
All docs and resources are public.

Links still don’t turn up though. Is this perhaps due to the non-ajax method? Is there a workaround?

I was wrong in my explanation. By default &hideLink=`1` so the reference documents (link) are hidden. If you would like search into the reference documents too, adds &hideLink=`0`

Thanks for the follow-up - to get links into results had to include &hideLink=`0` in the ’results page’ call AND the ’request’ (form) call.

I am also not getting the jot results in search, though I’m pretty sure I’ve got the call correct (see prev). Have tried this in both/either call and still can’t seem to find the jot results. Would be a great feature if I could get it to work.

Really appreciate your help with this - a great snippit.

&hideLink=`0` in the result page is enought. But take care the correct call of the snippet is [!Ajaxsearch NOT [!ajaxSearch

Regarding Jot, if you use version 1.8.1, the correct call is &whereSearch=`content|tv|jot`
With version 1.8.0, it was &whereSearch=`content,tv,jot` This parameter should be set with your result page AS call

So try:
on your request form page

and

on your result page with AS 1.8.0
or
on your result page with AS 1.8.1
