AS improvements : Open the search to other tables

Garry actually has some code to contribute here coroico. See it in action at http://whitneyenglish.com ... search "blue" to see the the results return pages of content and the custom catalog products/attributes tables.

This is a very cool feature to have.

Question: What’s the status on extending searches to template variables? I couldn’t find a definitive answer anywhere, and I haven’t been following this lately. Is there a version that already does this, or is it something I’d need to hack in?

The current search do a "left join" select sql statement which means that the search occurs in the "site_content" and in the "tmplvars_content".
But to avoid to have as many answers as different TVs values linked with the document, we don’t display the TV values, only document fields
So If you search term is in the TV value, you get the document but the extract is empty.

For my purposes, the current functionality is probably fine. As long as I can find search terms within TVs then displaying TV data is no big deal. If I need to display TVs in the search results output I can always use something like the getField snippet with the document ID as a parameter.
