This is a project we are working on, We are having trouble with the search working well, is there a guide or any tips on how to optimize content for the internal ajax search?

I have tried using the keyword system, and put keywords in the normal places.
The real problem we are having is, when you type "gunsmithing" nothing shows up, heck the "gunsmithing" page should be in the list right?

      Hi neon_eddy,

First, FYI you could download the last release of AjaxSearch. You can get it here.

I look at your site and I am not sure but:
      - your content document like MTTP 1208 Measuring Tools (1 credit) don’t contain the word gunsmithing. But if the page appears in the results list, is it propably because you have a TV which contains the word gunsmithing. Is it true ?
Be carefull, gunsmithing appears in your page, but in the div id="side" part of your page. Not in the div id="content" part.
And it seems the same things for the others pages returned by the search.

AjaxSearch returned the extracts which contains the search words when the word appears in the content of the documents. When the word is only inside a TV, only the title as a link is returned. This limitation is a performance limitation. Return the content of the TVs will increase the record sets returned by the sql search and need an appropriate filter. This possible improvement, required by some of you, is not still planed.
