    good to know someone else is experiencing these quirks with tinymce marschant, although i am sorry for your troubles of course...

    i have not had time to look into this further. we just switched back to fck at the time and have been using it since. however, it would be nice to get tinymce working, since it performed excellently and better than fck in a recent wysiwyg survey i read that focused on web standards and pasting from word (you know it will happen!).

      OK, I think I found the culprit, go to the plugin configuration tab and look for the following:

      <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
      	tinyMCE.init({
      		  theme : 'advanced',
      		  mode : "exact",
      		  relative_urls : false,

      Then change it to:

      <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
      	tinyMCE.init({
      		  theme : 'advanced',
      		  mode : "exact",
      		  relative_urls : true,

      Seems to have done the trick for me, don’t know if breaks anything else, gonna test it out at home tonight and will give some feedback tomorrow.

        This is how I make links and works great: I select the text i want to link then click in the link button, set the protocol to other and fill the url field with [(site_url)][~document_id~].

          I might be wrong but I think you’re using FckEditor, TinyMCE doesn’t present you with the protocol option and we were both experiencing problems with this particular html edit controller.

            For me too. Thank you, Marschant. It’s a kind of TinyMCE problem within modx, I think.

              Yeah, this is one of those things I need to play with. One of the things I really need to work on is a plugin for all the RTE’s that allows for inserting links within the current site. The idea would be to have a pop-up where you can select the page or folder you want to link to and upon inserting the link the proper markup would be inserted as well. Trick is getting the list of pages and folders to appear right and getting the RTE’s to play nice with the inserted code. I’ll get this done one of these days...hopefully soon! smiley

                I have the same problem with fck editor

                When I create a link (in this case insite a table cell) it looks good and it works good but when I edit the page again and do not edit the link but move the table or edit text the link is prefixed with /manager/editor after saving.

                so now I need to check the links all the time after i did an edit.

                Also copy and pasting links gives the same result,
                create an internal link [~12~] set the link type to "other" the link works now I copy the link to use on the same page or another page and the /manager/editor/ prefix is added again. aahhh this is modx 1.9.1.2 I am using.
