"An error occurred while trying to send the email. " even though form is sent

Hi guys, running into this problem at this url: http://75.127.75.137/request-a-demo.html

The form gets sent every time, but the front end web user doesn’t get the thank you page, but the error message "An error occurred while trying to send the email."

My code:

[[!FormIt? &hooks=`recaptcha,spam,email,redirect` &emailTpl=`RequestDemoChunk` &emailTo=`I have a valid email address here` &redirectTo=`48` &emailSubject=`Request A Demo Contact Form Filled Out` ]]

ANy ideas?

I get the same "An error occurred while trying to send the email" message when submitting from Formit.

I am on a hostgator shared host. I send emails from wordpress without any manuel settings. Do we need to do any changes in SMTP System Settings area - I only enabled the "Use SMTP" to "Yes".

I also tried to send through gmail smtp but same message is returned.

Any help is appreciated.

I also had this problem and it went away when I configured the Modx Mail System Settings... I documented this one at the german forums here: http://www.modxcms.de/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=4239&page=1#Item_0

hope you can solve this! Formit is getting better and better with every release!

Thank you. After checking another thread, I was able to bypass the error and redirect to another page but still no email received.
I checked that page with google translator, but couldn’t get what was correction you have made. Did you solve the problem with just changing the modx mail system settings.
