In the sidebar I have 2 selectfields and submit button. I’d like to filter the content (showing in the main part of page) depending on user selection.

    For instance:
user selected fileld "specialization" to be X nad "sector" to be Y, all those data are posted and in the content area User can see contented filtered
    by selected specialization and sector.

Is there any easy way to do it? By hooks or there are any ready-to-go solutions for these kind of tasks?

Are you submitting the form and want to use the values on the next page? If yes, you can use the FormItRetriever hook http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/FormIt.FormItRetriever

If you are want to do it on the same page, select dropdown then content changes (without refresh). I would use jQuery.
